I headed out to Caledonia this weekend to photograph the native protest over land claims, talked my way through police lines, walked up to the barricades, chatted with the media photographers, took some shots, but I didn't find it that interesting, so I jumped back into the car and drove off into the reserve to see what else I could find. It was a beautiful rainy, foggy day and I came across this abandoned house which fit the weather perfectly.

Your image conveys the mood i.e. the texture, B&W and grain but it also seems to apply to the feelings of the people that are protesting.
